Coffee Table Chic:
New homeowners Sean and Brittany have it all: comfy couch, end-tables, and an oversized coffee table to boot. What they are looking to do is create a sleek and polished look by incorporating what they already have with a few fresh faced pieces. Furtub.com suggests choosing coffee table accessories that are high-style while serving a function. We incorporated a Covered Catch-all on the lower portion of the table to keep the room clutter free. This ceramic catch-all is a hip way to house coasters, remotes, and reading glasses. Large coffee tables are a definite furnishing trend but decorating their expansive surface can be a challenge. A furtub tip is to divide the space in half. On one half of the table, choose a few unique books to prop up a favorite accent piece. Coffee table books are a quick and easy way to add personality to your table-top. Choose books that represent something you like to do or that showcase places you’ve been. Check out dollar stores, flea markets and the sale bin at your local book nook to stock up on some large glossy editions. Since this couple loves to entertain their friends, the Zebra Box is the perfect accent hiding away their matches, dice, pencils and playing cards. To balance out the look, add in a bowl or platter filled with unique accents. This look shows a bronze bowl filled with opulent Capiz Shell Spheres which reflect the homeowners’ love of the beach.
Easy End Table embellishments:
A fast and inexpensive way to decorate an end table is to find a stack of books that have an interesting binding. Add in a few picture frames that are in the same color and texture family to give a unified look. In this room we chose two Gold Leaf Frames to show off family pictures. To give the table height, we propped the round frame up on the stack of books and filled an old Muse candle vessel with flowers to add a punch of color.
